Student Voting Portal
Make your voting plan today
Young people aged 18-29 are one of the most underrepresented voter groups in the US — yet their values have the power to transform our nation.
The Andrew Goodman Foundation works to make young voices and votes a powerful force in democracy. We support youth leadership development, voting accessibility, and social justice initiatives on campuses across the country with mini-grants to select institutions of higher learning and other financial assistance to student leaders. Join us as we inspire more young people to pursue social change work, activate important lessons of the past, and sustain today’s effective social action.
Stay Connected! As a young person in the Deep South, I have always been passionate about voting rights. AGF has given me resources to assist in organizing on my college campus, where I am proud to say we have over 88% of our student body registered to vote, which would not have been possible without AGF. They have inspired countless students to learn that our voices matter and our actions have an impact. AGF continues to "live the legacy" of Andrew Goodman focusing on educating everyone, including the Vote Everywhere chapters about the Freedom Summer Project and the fight for everyone to get the right to vote.
Being an AGF Ambassador allows its hired students to pursue their passion to make a change in our democracy all while getting invaluable experience. Ambassadors host civic engagement events on campus, work with local nonprofit organizations, volunteer on campus and in the community, and actively encourage students to vote and participate in politics. Being an Ambassador brings political experience and opportunities and is an an outlet for my political passion while in college. I never see my AGF job as a grind, but rather as a form of civic engagement. I am grateful to have a job where I love my work so much.
AGF plays a pivotal role on college and university campuses, inspiring college students to make a difference by voting... Democracy is the foundation of who we are as a country, and trailblazing organizations like AGF set themselves aside from the rest by utilizing a hands-on approach through hard work, dedication, and mentorship in an attempt to inspire future civic and voter engagement and leadership.
I have had the pleasure of working with AGF in a variety of capacities over the years, first as a Vote Everywhere Ambassador from 2016-2017 and then as a Campus Champion at both Kutztown University and now at Northampton Community College. AGF's mission to continue the work of Goodman, Schwerner, & Chaney has inspired me to do the non-partisan voter work that I do with students and my greater community. AGF provides tons of great resources and support to ensure that higher education institutions can implement non-partisan voter education and civic engagement initiatives.
